Vinik Sports Group, Lightning Extend Partnership with Venuetize

TAMPA BAY – Vinik Sports Group (VSG) and the 2020 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning have extended their partnership with Venuetize to deliver a contactless, cashless and overall safer and more enjoyable experience for their fans visiting AMALIE Arena. The extended partnership will consolidate the current AMALIE Arena venue app and NHL App to make it more convenient for fans, while at the same time increasing functionality available via mobile.

The integration will be focused on eCommerce in the NHL app, including:

  • Mobile Ordering and Mobile Wallet functionality for food, beverage, and merchandise.
  • Season Ticket Member Benefits in wallet, and ability to provide special discounts, rewards, and partner offers.

“As we continue to prepare for the reopening of AMALIE Arena, it has been critical to have a partner who not only provides us with a contactless way to transact through our venue, but can also layer on Season Ticket Member discounts, rewards, and corporate partner offers”, said Jarrod Dillon, Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer of Vinik Sports Group. “Venuetize is a vital partner to us at VSG as we continue to work on providing our fans with the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.”

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with VSG and the Tampa Bay Lightning”, said Craig Duncan, Chief Revenue Officer with Venuetize. We’ve seen first-hand as their mobile partner these last three years, the commitment this organization has to continuously improving the fan experience. The Lightning will be the first NHL Club to integrate our eCommerce capabilities into the NHL league-wide app, which will bring added convenience, safety, and rewards to Lightning fans.”
