LAFC Offers a Mobile-First Experience
As part of LAFC’s inaugural season – and the opening of the team’s new home, Banc of California Stadium – the Club wanted to take a mobile-first approach to every aspect of the fan experience. LAFC has partnered with leading technology vendors on everything from stadium infrastructure and connectivity, to the team’s mobile app, which is developed by Venuetize.
At launch, the LAFC mobile app provided fans with team info, stats, and mobile video for following the action. As fans interact with Banc of California Stadium during the season, they are able to personalize their experience – on their journey to the game, at concessions, and within the venue.
The weekend the app launched – coinciding with the Club’s inaugural match – it was listed among the top 60 apps across the entire sports category on the iTunes app store. The Club continues to drive downloads and engage fans through a range of marketing initiatives, including a Venuetize-developed app tutorial that helps users quickly see how to use the rich ticketing features to get the most out of their experience.
